About Me

patriciaelizabeth: English born and bred, I have lived in Calabria for many years with my family. When I first came here life was very old fashioned and I had to struggle to adapt. I was used to working in England and found myself in a small village where I had very little freedom. It was frowned on if I even went to a shop by myself! Hard times. There were no books available so I spent my time knitting and crocheting. I have always loved handicrafts and now that I have internet I spend my time designing clothes for 18" dolls. I have several dolls and have knit many things for them. I like to try to make things that are just that bit different from others available. A challenge! I also try to follow a "greener" way of life. I live in a place which is still relatively unspoilt and like to try to keep it that way!
