Memories

Sitting watching songs on the computer. Michael Jackson: Bad.

Memories.

My son charismatical. Dancing in the street with all the other kids dancing with him. Fantastic. He was the leader. They did every single movement like the video... and we didn't have internet then! Just VHS.

All the neighbours were out watching and all the local kids participated, not just his beloved sister.
I made pizza and they stopped to eat on the steps and turned back to dance more. Neighbours were chatting and everyone was in a good mood. The whole street was there and participating happily.

A really good memory. Fantastic moment, rare moments frozen in time.

They danced to all the songs that were on that tape. Every single movement was 100% correct. The kids lined up with him and imitated every single movement.

Such friendship. Fun. Really dancing in the street.

Sometimes I would really love to return to that time.

September Shrug.

I have been busy sewing recently. Too hot to knit. However I just had to make something ready for when cooler days arrive (the sooner the better!)

Doll knitting pattern

This is my latest pattern released in my Ravelry shop today...September Shrug. A simple top-down knit with a gently rounded border. Quick and easy to make for our 18" dolls!

The dress I made from some fabric I had in my stash, almost vintage now. I bought it when Elizabeth was small and she is 18! Lol!

Gotz Hannah

I am making a matching dress for my DGD. Nearly done. The only thing I had to buy was the blue zip!

Now to show you my new pride and joy! A dear friend sent me this lovely!

Swedish spining wheel

This came from Sweden, made in the late 1800s. Beautiful condition. I have been looking online for tutorials and hints for use before starting to use it. Too hot just now but this will be super in the Fall.

I haven't forgotten about the promised bag pattern. Just trying to learn the best way to add the pattern. Not easy for me! Lol!

See you soon!

What's up?

Well life has been busy here but due to fires my internet access has been very limited. The poles are slowly being replaced and power restored.

I have been doing a fair bit of sewing recently. A dress for DGD and her doll, a shirt for DH which is almost finished.

I also tried making some sandals. Very pleased with my first attempt. Of course Julie needed a bag to match so I made one. I will be adding that design to my blog soon so keep a look out if you want to try sewing one!

On my birthday we went up into the mountains. Although (typically) the day was cloudy we had fun setting up a tent and sleeping bags for the dolls. Dgd enjoyed herself playing with them. Well worth the time spent sewing to see her expression!

My older DD and Sil bought me a doll! Hannah loves horse riding, a Gotz doll. As I do have a horse for her, I can foresee lots of fun playing with DGD. She has just started a little riding.

Gotz Hannah doll

"We" now have a brown hair, a blonde hair and a red hair doll! The blonde Hannah ballerina belongs to my DGD.

I have also done some knitting. A new pattern is on ravelry. Kaya and Kanani were playing at "Pocahontas".

AGD Pocahontas pattern

You can find it for sale in my Ravelry store.

So that's all for now. Will be back soon with the instructions on how to make the doll bag.
