I have been busy working on uploading a new pattern today. I decided to call the dress "Belle" like one of my Disney Animator dolls. As usual it is available on Ravelry.
It is a pretty lacy dress which is relatively quick and easy to make. Knit flat topdown with a simple lace pattern on the skirt.
These dolls are so much fun to dress. It can become addictive.
Now I need to start working on some other projects though! Be back soon!

Blue Tits and Mulan!
The weather has recently been cold with rain, hail and snow. Most unusual for us.
I started feeding the birds from my window. Although it is hard to take a photo I managed to snap this one.
There are several who come. Most are blue tits but others arrive as well.
My doll collection is still growing. I found Mulan on Ebay. Description said she was dirty and ok for "spare parts!" Well I just couldn't allow that! I put in an offer for half of the small amount they were asking and it was accepted within minutes. I wondered just how dirty and poor condition she was!
She arrived yesterday. Actually the only thing wrong was her matted hair!
A wash and combing session soon fixed that. Boo lent her a clean dress until I have time to make her something especially for her!
Here she is:
Isn't she beautiful now? I think she is really happy to have arrived here!

Ariel's hair styling session.
I recently bought a couple of dolls on UK Ebay for the grand amount of £1.50. The postage cost me more.
The one I was interested in was a Disney Merida (more about her another time) but there was an Ariel doll included which was a bit worse for wear. Together they cost far less than other Merida dolls available so I placed a bid and won them. A great deal.
Ariel's hair was in a really bad state so I decided to try my hand at restyling it. I am NOT good with hair at all, but figured that it couldn't turn out worse than it was!
So armed with dish-soap, fabric conditioner, straws, clips and tissues I started!
First I washed her hair with some normal dish-soap. Rinsed well and then treat it with fabric softener in fairly hot water. Let it soak a while and then combed and divided it into sections. This was the part I found hardest to do as I wasn't sure how it was best to divide the locks.
Then I rolled it with a little tissue paper onto the cut off straws and secured the curls with a hairgrip.
Dipped her hair into warm water again once finished and left to dry.
Today I took out the "curlers"and Tada!:
I think she looks far better!
DD has already commented that she will style it better for me but I am really happy with the result. Not bad for a first try. Her hair feels really soft and is shiny. It was dry and not nice to touch!

Disney Animator Pocahontas Doll
This week has been very busy. DH fell off a ladder and hurt his back. Fortunately he had only bruises but has had to rest. Still has aches and pains. However on a brighter note; my new doll arrived!
I bought a Disney Animator Doll from ebay. She has been repainted as a Ooak doll by the talented Sabrina. She has such a sad expression but is really lovely.
I will be using her as a model for my Disney Animator Doll knitting patterns and also to try on the clothes that I make for my DGD's Rapunzel doll. This outfit which will be available as a pattern soon was made for Rapunzel. Soon I will make something especially for Pocahontas.
Today I made her a little dress so have edited to add these photos!
This is the cardi I made for my DGD. Rapunzel's cardi was made to match this!
I am looking forward to showing photos of DGD with her doll in matching clothes..
What do you think of my new doll? Pretty?
